Vanessa traded the Sunshine State for the Empire State nearly 20 years ago and has never looked back. She developed a passion for the legalization and cultivation of hemp over the years. One day she decided to buy a farm and went from hemp enthusiast to hemp entrepreneur. Vanessa has held various development, consulting, project management and leadership roles at blue chip companies in the digital space and has parlayed this knowledge into launching The Hemptons.
Suzie Eckhart
Co-FOUNDER
Raised in the farmlands of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Suzie spent her early years surrounded by walls of corn and fields of tobacco. She is excited to get back to her roots in Upstate New York and grow walls of industrial hemp. She has over a decade of digital marketing experience at start-up technology and video distribution companies in NYC and is excited about leveraging her experience and network to build The Hemptons. Fun fact: Suzie had six guinea pigs growing up. Her favorite was named May, whom we named our first hemp field after.

Twelve years young, our boy Curtis is a pretty good dog! He spends most of his time sitting on his Gator and hoping for a treat. Always down for an adventure and farm walk. And more treats.
